SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1. Mt Macedon
Depart Melbourne, 180 St Kilda Road, outside the NGV International Art Gallery at 9.15 a.m. and travel via the airport. Interstate travellers must be at Melbourne Airport by 9.30 a.m. to be picked up at 10.00 a.m. Visit the Mt Macedon region to see author Stephen Ryan's Tugurium garden, with its emphasis on foliage and structural plants. Take a fabulous fresh ‘Potager to Plate' cooking class and lunch at Woodend, sampling award-winning Victorian wines at Gisborne Creek Winery. Tonight enjoy a gourmet dinner at Campaspe House, set on Edna Walling-designed gardens and bushland in Woodend.
Stay: Macedon Ranges, Campaspe House, featuring its own historic Edna Walling country estate garden or similar
Day 2. Garden of St Erth, Ballarat, Grampians
Visit the Garden of St Erth this morning. The two hectare garden is home to many of rare and unusual plants. Stroll the gardens then continue via Ballarat for lunch at historic Craigs Royal Hotel. After lunch continue via Halls Creek to the Grampians to Dunkeld.

Day 3. Hamilton, Grampians Sheep Dairy
Taste cheese, yoghurt and other dairy products at the Grampians Sheep Dairy. Visit the garden of Botanica founder Judy Vanrenen at Wiltshire where you will enjoy morning tea and tree planting. Later in the morning enjoy a visit Hamilton Art Gallery and in the afternoon explore the kitchen garden of the Royal Mail Hotel.
Day 4. Western District Gardens, Geelong
Visit Green Hills Garden with its impressive collection of roses and intricate borders surrounding the historic house. Continue to Noorat for lunch at Timboon then on to the ‘dry and unusual' garden of Wigandia, named by Gardening Australia as one of their favourite gardens. Stroll around the beautiful Geelong Botanic Gardens with its original English garden and the new ‘dry' $2 million, 21st Century Garden.
Stay: Geelong, Sheraton Four Points Geelong Hotel, overlooking Corio Bay
Day 5. Mornington Peninsula, Heronswood
Cruise across Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento and Heronswood, home of the Digger's Club, for a delicious ‘Fork to Fork' lunch and a personalised tour of the garden. Learn about edible plants and becoming more water-wise in plant use and design. Visit Australian Garden at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Cranbourne on your return to Melbourne. Continue to Melbourne Airport at 6.00 p.m. for flights departing after 6.30 p.m.
